What information can I access through connect?
The information that you can access is the information that is available on the public register at Companies House. This consists of the statutory and compliance information on the company, together with some personal information on the directors and members of the company. Confidential information, such as beneficial owner information, is not stored on our database and so cannot be accessed.
What computing facility do I need to be able to access connect?
You will need a standard web browser and internet connection.
How do I log in to connect?
You will need to register with us to log in to connect. We will set you up as a user of connect and, for security, send your password to you by first class post or airmail. When you receive this you will be able to log in and view your information.
How many users can access the system?
You may have up to 3 sets of login details for your own use, so if you want more than one of your colleagues to have access this can be arranged. Please note that each user will have access to all the companies that you have under administration with us.
How secure is connect?
Your log on details are linked only to the companies that we administer for you. No-one except the people who use the log on details linked to your companies will see the information that we hold on your companies, however, you must ensure that you keep your log on details and password private.
Can I use connect to notify you of proposed changes to my company?
Yes - click on the name of the company's administrator to send us an email with the details of the change.
You administer companies for me in more than one jurisdiction. Will I see them all through connect?
At this stage you will be able to access information on any company which is registered in the UK or Ireland, although we hope to extend this to companies in other jurisdictions in future.
Are there any plans to develop connect?
Yes. Future developments of this service will enable you to view information held on companies limited by guarantee or LLPs registered in the UK. We would also like to hear from you as to what facilities you would like to see included in connect.
