The law relating to company constitutions underwent significant change on 1 October 2009 when the remaining parts of the Companies Act 2006 came into force. Companies formed before that date may find their ability to take advantage of some of the deregulatory measures and new procedures introduced by the 2006 Act hampered unless they take steps to review and update their articles of association.
Jordans' articles of association for a private company will not only give the company all the advantages of the new model articles but also cover those areas where additional powers or clarification of rights and obligations are desirable to provide maximum flexibility and ease of understanding.
