Accounting software benefits 'immediate'
19/January/2012
Companies looking to improve the way they deal with their tax and accounting have been urged to think about automating it.
According to the International Association of Book-keepers (IAB), while setting up accounting software can be time consuming at first, it offers a host of benefits in the long run.
With the deadline for self-assessment looming and the end of the tax year not far off in early April, many companies will be starting to think how best they can manage their tax and accounting.
Malcolm Trotter, chief executive at the IAB, said accounting software "speeds things up".
"It is a lot quicker than manually processing invoices and recording them," he explained.
"[The setting up] can be a major headache for micro and small businesses because they might not have the expertise or confidence to do that. But once they get over that hurdle, the benefits immediately kick in."
