Jordans challenges the recession with a new business venture

Jordans, Britain's largest independent provider of professional business services to companies and their advisers, has joined forces with Executive Recruitment firm, Moon Consulting Ltd, to launch a new recruitment service focusing solely on company secretarial appointments.

 

The joint venture brings together Moon Consulting's extensive recruitment and search expertise and Jordans' experience as the market leader in company secretarial services.  The new enterprise, Jordans Recruitment Services will provide a permanent or interim placement for companies who need a specialist to ensure that their statutory obligations are met.

 

Whilst the current economic climate is gloomy and it is proving difficult in some sectors to find jobs, the mandatory obligations of a company still need to be addressed.  For this reason Jordans believe that opportunities still exist.

Vanessa Moon, Director with Moon Consulting, says 'Our experience shows, as recession bites interim appointments will prove to be an attractive recruitment option for both employers and employees.'

 

Paul Townsend of Jordans Limited agrees 'For roles such as company secretaries where the duties of the company are compulsory, making an interim appointment is often a cost-effective alternative. 

 

The nature of the work means it's prone to peaks such as annual return filing dates or when the company is involved in a merger or acquisition.  We feel companies may choose to make interim appointments when they have busy work periods and for this reason we're optimistic.'
