'Life more affordable' for British expatriates
31/August/2010
British expatriates often find a laidback and affordable life waiting for them abroad, free of the money worries prevalent back home, it has been claimed.
Rhiannon Davies, director of the expatriate lifestyle magazine Shelter Offshore, said anyone who is seriously thinking about moving abroad has "a bottom line common denominator" which is that they want to improve their life in some way.
She explained: "British retirees often want to live in a country where the weather is better, the pace of life is more laid-back, the cost of living is more affordable and where there is more emphasis on enjoying life."
Ms Davies noted that in the UK, it is deemed normal to for people to work simply to pay off their credit card, mortgage or other debts.
The availability of offshore tax planning services can be another major advantage for UK citizens moving to another jurisdiction.
Jordans International has a wealth of experience in international tax planning and is skilled at managing multi-jurisdiction corporate and trust structures, which can be established for tax planning or dividend routing purposes.
