New draft regulations published
10/March/2009
Two new draft regulations have been published.
- The Companies (Disclosure of Address) Regulations 2008 (draft),
- The Companies (Trading Disclosures) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 (draft)
The Companies (Disclosure of Address) Regulations 2008 in draft form. These cover the conditions for disclosure of a directors' usual residential address to public authorities and credit reference agencies. They also make provision for applications to be made to the registrar to refrain from disclosing this information to a credit reference agency and for addresses on the register to be made unavailable for public inspection (similar to the current confidentiality order provisions).
The Companies (Trading Disclosures) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 in draft form. These provide two further exceptions to the requirement for a company to display its registered name at business premises. These are where the company has a liquidator/similar appointed and the place of business is also the liquidator's address. The second is where the registrar is prevented from disclosing to a credit reference agency the usual residential address of every director of the company who is an individual."
