Supporting evidence for online company formations
29/October/2009
Along with final implementation of the Companies Act 2006 specific guidlines in respect of "proper delivery" of information to Companies House came into force.
However, where electronic incorporations include names requiring justification, Companies House have allowed this evidence to be faxed through to them rather than submitted electronically as required by the guidelines. However, this is only a temporary measure.
From April 2010 Companies House will only accept supporting evidence electronically for online company formations.
Until then supporting evidence should be submitted as part of the electronic process wherever possible, especially for same day applications.
If this is not possible supporting evidence must be faxed to Companies House on letterhead paper and contain relevant information and signatures. This should be faxed at the same time as the electronic formation application to avoid rejections.
Jordans will ensure that all client formation applications satisfy Companies House requirements.
