Best known as the home of Welsh Rugby and its legion of devoted fans, the capital of Wales is also home to a rapidly growing startup scene. Year-on-year new company formations in Cardiff increased by just over .75% from 2014 to 2015 and continues to show growth. A bastion of the UK coal mining and export industry from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, coal exports ceased in 1964.
Today, tourism in Wales accounts for more than £4bn annually with Cardiff laying claim to a quarter of that.
