Consent to act - officer appointments
You will no longer be required to provide security information (3 from 7) to Companies House in relation to electronic appointments of officers. Nor will signatures for newly appointed officers be required on paper filings. Instead, it will be the responsibility of the company to obtain and retain the officer's "consent to act".
Suppression of date of birth
Although you will still be required to hold and submit an officer's (or LLP member's) full date of birth, the day element will be suppressed from the public record.
The issue of new share warrants to bearer was abolished in May 2015 and companies have a further 9 months in which to surrender any bearer shares in issue.
The new warning notification is designed to help users who:
- need to remind users of the change during the transition period
- may wish to review historic data that includes bearer shares
- have companies in jurisdictions outside the UK where bearer share sare still permitted
Download and install the latest update, which also features the most up-to-date Companies House forms and new MS Office 2013 templates, right away to ensure you're on top of the changes.
